    How does Chinese astrology work?

Unlike Western astrology which is based on months, Chinese astrology follows a
12-year cycle. Each year is associated with an animal and an element (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water),
creating a complete 60-year cycle. Chinese New Year varies between late January and mid-February, and it's on this date
        that the astrological sign changes.

According to Chinese tradition, the animal of your birth year influences your personality, relationships, and destiny.
This form of astrology has been used for millennia for divination, choosing important dates, and understanding compatibility.
